Hello friends,
A title can tell us what we do. It cannot tell the whole story of who we are.
That’s the thought behind a recent reflection, “One Life Can Hold More Than One Calling.” We may spend years as a teacher, parent, caregiver, pastor, or leader. When a role changes, it can leave us wondering where we fit now.
But the gifts formed in that chapter don’t disappear when the title changes. Patience can become a listening ear. Leadership can become mentoring. Experience can become encouragement for someone who is just getting started.
I believe God’s grace keeps shaping those gifts. We don’t have to recreate the life we had, and we don’t have to have the whole next chapter figured out before we can love somebody well today.
