Grace for the Next Chapter — Leave One Thing Unfinished
What harmless task could wait until tomorrow?
This is not advice for surgery, taxes, or anything involving a live electrical wire.
It is advice for the ordinary list that keeps growing faster than you can cross things off. Many of us have quietly decided that rest is a reward we may claim only when every task is complete. That arrangement would work beautifully if life ever stopped producing laundry, emails, repairs, errands, and people who need something.
Sometimes the faithful choice is to stop at enough. The dishes can wait until morning. The message can be answered tomorrow. The yard does not need to win an award.
Rest is not proof that you have run out of purpose. It is one way you remember that your worth is larger than your output.
Tonight, leave one harmless thing unfinished on purpose—and do not apologize to it. What can wait until tomorrow?
