What Will the Next Generation Remember?

On Grandparents Day, we think about what one generation gives the next. We often call that legacy, and we may picture money, achievements, or something with our name on it.

But the strongest legacy is lived before it is remembered. It is the way we listen. The way we show up. The dignity we give people when they have nothing to offer us. Younger people may forget our advice, but they will remember whether our presence made them feel seen.

Grace turns experience into service. We do not have to be grandparents to invest in someone coming behind us.

TODAY’S STEP: Encourage one younger person by name today.

REFLECTION: What are your daily choices teaching the next generation?
